website. For over 150 years, our congregation has held forth God’s word
of love and life in the heart of our city and to the ends of the
earth. We are thankful for God’s work in and through this community of
faith. We are also confident God is working in and through your life

define our congregation: worship, education and service. Our worship
experience is deeply rooted in the Christian tradition, yet vibrant and
alive in its relevance to our contemporary world. Ken Cooper, our
director of worship, brings a level of excellence to our music,
ensuring we offer our very best to God. On any given Sunday, you will
hear a wide variety of offerings, from Bach, to the great hymns of the
church, to African American spirituals to the Celtic rhythms of the
Iona Community’s songs. Our rich tradition of excellence in preaching
offers fresh insights into the relevance of God’s Word for our lives
today. Through regular worship, we grow in our relationship with God
and with one another in Christian community.Our education
ministry offers many ways for people of all ages to grow in
relationship with God through exploring the Bible and its Word to our
world today. From the annual Brown Lecture Series that brings some of
the greatest theological minds in the world to Dallas, to our extensive
Sunday School programs that offer some of Dallas’ greatest minds as
regular teachers, to our many weekly opportunities for in-depth Bible
study, your faith will be nurtured, stretched and challenged through
the education ministry of FPC.With one of the largest social
ministries in the nation, First Presbyterian Church offers a unique
opportunity to meet Christ by serving the least of these in our midst
at the Stewpot. Through Stewpot Ministries, we serve over 500 people a
day a hot meal, as well as offer support from social workers, a medical
clinic, a dental clinic, drug rehab and psychiatric help. Every
Saturday we host hundreds of children from City Park Elementary at our
Saturday School, and dozens of teens participate in our Venturing
Crew. Our social ministry stretches to Juarez, Mexico, Guguletu, South
Africa, and Kerala, India. First Presbyterian Church offers countless
opportunities to make a significant difference in the world and see the
difference such service can make in your own life. Worshiping,
learning and serving, we grow not only in relationship with God, but
also with one another. FPC is a family of faith committed to loving God
with all our heart, mind, and strength through our ministries of
